Overview
StockApp's interface is organized into several main areas accessible from the left sidebar and top navigation bar. This guide shows you where to find each feature and how to navigate between different views.
Who this is for: Anyone using StockApp who wants to understand the interface layout.
What happens in the system
Clicking sidebar items loads different sections of the platform
Switching StockApps changes all data to that StockApp's products, orders, and contacts
Switching to buyer view (via company selector) shows vendor catalogs instead of your own products
What does NOT happen
Navigation does not change data: Clicking around the interface does not modify your products or orders.
Switching views does not log you out: Changing between vendor and buyer perspectives keeps you logged in.
Main Navigation Areas
The left sidebar provides access to all major features:
Home
Your main workspace displaying your product catalog. Manage products, view inventory, set pricing, and organize offerings.
Directory
Manage your business network — contacts, companies, and teammates.
Orders
View and manage purchase orders (both orders you've received as a vendor and orders you've placed as a buyer).
Offers
Create and respond to price negotiation offers between buyers and vendors.
Settings
Configure account preferences, notifications, tags, categories, users and permissions, and integrations.
Note: Some menu items only appear based on your account permissions. Orders and Offers require vendor or buyer relationships to be visible.
Top Navigation Bar
The top navigation bar runs across the top of the main content area:
Company selector (top-left, shows your company name): Switch between your StockApps, or select a vendor to browse their catalog as a buyer
Products / Connections toggle: Switch between the product catalog view and a connections map view
All items dropdown: Select which pricelist to view, or create new pricelists
Impersonate buyer button: View your catalog from a buyer's perspective to test how it appears (vendors only)
Share button: Share your catalog or create a shareable link
Product Page Toolbar
When viewing your product catalog, the toolbar below the top bar provides:
AI filter bar (left panel): Type a natural language description to filter your catalog
Search bar: Find products by name, SKU, or MPN (⌘K shortcut)
Pricelists indicator: Shows active pricelist filters and the total product count
Sort button: Organize products by different criteria
View toggle: Switch between list view and grid view
Add product button: Create new products via Search, Blank Sheet, or Upload
Download button: Export your product catalog
The left panel also shows filter sections: Quick filters, Tags, Category, Price, Condition, Manufacturer, Warranty, Packaging, Terms and returns, Specifications, Location, and Date.
Right Sidebar
The right sidebar contains utility icons:
Notifications (bell icon): View recent notifications
Cart (cart icon): View items added to cart for ordering
Credits: View remaining AI enrichment credits
Help (question mark): Access help resources
Sheets: Open the spreadsheet editing view
Messaging: Access the messaging panel to communicate with contacts
User Menu
At the bottom of the left sidebar, click your initials (profile icon) to access:
Your name and email: Shows current user information
StockApps section: View all your StockApps and switch between them (currently active one is marked)
Profile: Manage your user profile and personal settings
Toggle theme: Switch between light and dark mode
Language: Change the interface language
Log out: Sign out of your account
Context Switching
Multiple StockApps
If you belong to multiple companies:
Click your profile icon (initials) at the bottom of the left sidebar
Select the StockApp you want to access from the dropdown
Each StockApp has its own products, contacts, and orders

Browsing Vendor Catalogs (Buyer View)
To browse products from your vendors:
Click the company name in the top-left corner of the top navigation bar
Select a vendor from the dropdown
Browse their product catalog
Add items to cart and place orders
The interface switches to show that vendor's shared products instead of your own catalog.
Common Issues
Issue: Cannot Find a Menu Item
Symptom: A menu item mentioned in documentation is not visible in your sidebar.
Solution: Some menu items only appear if you have the necessary permissions. For example, Orders and Offers only appear if you have vendor or buyer relationships set up.
Issue: Wrong Products Showing
Symptom: The products displayed don't match what you expect.
Solution: Check the context in the top navigation:
Are you viewing your own catalog or a vendor's catalog? (Check the company selector in the top-left)
Are you viewing a specific pricelist? (Check the "All items" dropdown)
