Product Analytics and Best Sellers

What this does: View per-product sales data, reach metrics, and market price comparisons from the product details panel.

Overview

Each product in your catalog has two analytics tabs in the details panel: Performance and Price Data. Together they show how a product is selling, how far it reaches through your reseller network, and how your price compares to the market.

Who this is for: Vendors who want to understand how individual products are performing.

What happens in the system

  • Sales data is aggregated from completed orders

  • Reach metrics show how many potential buyers can see your product through your reseller chain

  • Top buyers list shows which companies purchase this product most

  • Market price comparison is fetched on-demand when you click Analyze prices

What does NOT happen

  • No real-time updates — data is aggregated periodically, not instantly

  • No predictive analytics — StockApp shows historical data, not forecasts

  • No automatic alerts — you must check analytics manually

  • No competitor identification — market comparison shows price ranges and individual listings, not competitor names

Prerequisites

  • An active account with vendor permissions

  • Products in your catalog

  • Some order history for sales data to appear

Accessing Analytics

Step 1: Select a product

From the Products page, click any product to open the details panel. The panel header shows a revenue and order count summary for products with sales history.

Step 2: Open the Performance or Price Data tab

Click Performance or Price Data in the panel header tabs.


Performance Tab

The Performance tab has three sections: Reach and reshare, Sales, and Top Buyers.

Reach and Reshare

Shows how broadly your product is distributed through the reseller network.

Metric

What It Shows

Total Reach

Number of potential buyers who can see your product

Viral Multiplier

How much resharing has amplified reach (1.0x = no amplification)

Shares

Number of times this product has been reshared

Reshare settings dropdown (own products only): Controls how many levels of resharing buyers can do. The dropdown shows a chain visual for each option:

  • No reshare — buyers cannot reshare this product

  • Reshare 1 level — your customers can sell the item to their customers

  • Reshare 2 levels — your customers and their customers can sell the item

For reshared items (products sourced from a vendor), the reshare setting is locked and shown with a lock icon displaying remaining levels allowed.

Sales

Shows sales performance for the selected time period. Use the period dropdown to change the range:

  • Last 7 Days (default)

  • Last month

  • Last 3 months

  • Last year

  • All time

Metric

What It Shows

Units Sold

Total quantity sold in the period

Revenue

Total sales amount (shown in green)

Profit Margin

Your average margin percentage (shown if cost is entered)

Below the summary cards, a combined chart shows:

  • Units Sold bars (right y-axis)

  • Cost trend line (left y-axis, blue)

  • Price trend line (left y-axis, green)

The chart only appears when there is order data for the selected period.

Top Buyers

Shows the top buyers for this product (up to 5, ranked by units purchased). The section header shows how many buyers are displayed out of the total.

Price Data Tab

The Price Data tab has three sections: Your Price Analysis, Market Comparison, and Product Listings.

Your Price Analysis

Shows your own pricing and order history over time. Use the period dropdown to adjust the time range (same options as Performance tab).

Two charts are shown:

  • Price History — PO Price (purchase order price, blue) and SO Price (sales order price, green) over time

  • Volume / Run Rate — PO Qty (purchase quantity, blue) and SO Qty (sales quantity, green) over time

Below the charts, four summary stats are shown:

  • Avg Purchase Price — average price you paid to acquire this product

  • Avg Sales Price — average price you sold this product for

  • Total PO Volume — total units purchased

  • Total SO volume — total units sold

Market Comparison

Compares your price against market listings found across multiple sources.

Match my Product checkbox: When checked, enables three filter dropdowns — Packaging, Condition, and Warranty — to narrow results to products matching your specifications.

When no market data exists, an empty state is shown with an Analyze prices button. Clicking it triggers an AI-powered search across marketplaces to find comparable listings.

Once analysis runs, results show individual listings with:

  • Price

  • Confidence score (color-coded: green = high, yellow = medium, red = low)

  • Listing title

  • Source link

The price footer shows:

  • Your price — your current selling price and % vs. market average

  • Min / Max — lowest and highest market prices found, shown on a color gradient bar

  • Avg — average market price

Product Listings

Shows all known listings for this product across three categories:

Listings available from your connected vendors

Self

Your other listings of this same product

Vendor listings show the vendor name, price, condition, packaging, and warranty. An Add to cart button lets you place a purchase order directly from this view.


Common Issues

Issue: No sales data showing

Symptom: Units Sold, Revenue, and Profit Margin all show zeros or dashes

Solution:

  • Verify the product is Published (not Draft or Inactive)

  • Confirm the product is in an active pricelist shared with buyers

  • Allow time for orders to be completed — pending orders do not appear in analytics

Issue: Reach metrics show zero

Symptom: Total Reach is 0 even though the product is shared

Solution:

  • Verify resharing is enabled in the dropdown (not set to "No reshare")

  • Confirm the product is in pricelists that have been shared with buyers

Issue: Market Comparison shows no data

Symptom: "No price data yet" with no results

Solution:

  • The product must have a SKU or MPN for market comparison to work — without an identifier, the search cannot find comparable listings

  • Click Analyze prices to trigger a fresh search

  • Results vary by product type and may not be available for all items
