Overview
Pricelists (also called "lists") let you organize your products and set different prices for different buyers. Instead of showing all products to everyone at the same price, you can create multiple lists with:
Different product selections - Choose which products appear in each list
Custom pricing - Set unique prices or markup percentages per list
Targeted sharing - Share specific lists with specific buyers
Flexible visibility - Make lists private (selected buyers only) or public (all buyers)
What happens in the system
Creating a list creates an empty container. Products must be added separately.
Adding a product to a list makes it visible to buyers who have access to that list.
Price changes propagate immediately - When you update a product's price in a list, buyers see the new price right away.
Products can exist in multiple lists with different prices in each.
Sharing a list does not give buyers edit access. Buyers see a live view of your list, not a snapshot.
What does NOT happen
No automatic buyer access - Creating a list does not share it. You must explicitly share it with specific buyers or set visibility to "All buyers."
No edit access for buyers - Sharing a list gives view-only access. Buyers cannot modify your products or prices.
No product duplication - Adding a product to multiple lists does not create copies. The same product appears in each list with list-specific pricing.
Deleting a list does NOT delete products - Products remain in your catalog; only the list and its custom pricing settings are removed.
Prerequisites
Before you start:
Admin or manager permissions in your StockApp account
At least one product added to your catalog
Understanding List Types
StockApp offers two visibility types:
Selected Buyers (Private Lists)
Lock icon displayed next to the list name
Only visible to buyers you explicitly share it with
Buyers need an invitation to access
All Buyers (Public Lists)
Globe icon displayed next to the list name
Automatically visible to all buyers who have access to your store
No individual sharing required
Creating a New List
Step 1: Open the list selector
From your Products page, click the "All items" button in the top navigation bar. A dropdown opens showing your existing lists and a "Create list" option at the bottom.
The dropdown shows:
All items - View all your products
Your existing lists - Each list shows its name, total product count, active product count (green dot), a copy link button, and an edit (pencil) button
Create list button at the bottom
Step 2: Open the Create list dialog
Click "Create list" at the bottom of the dropdown.
The "Create list" dialog appears with:
Name field - Give your list a descriptive name (e.g., "Holiday Sale", "VIP Customers")
Visibility - Two options displayed as cards:
Selected buyers (lock icon, selected by default) - Only buyers you share with can view
All buyers (globe icon) - Any buyer with access can view
Step 3: Fill in the name and choose visibility
Enter a name for your list and select the visibility type.
Click "Create" to save your new list. The "Create" button is disabled until you enter a name.
After creation:
A success message confirms the list was created
The list selector now shows your new list name
The view automatically switches to show products in this list (currently empty)
Adding Products to a List
After creating a list, you need to add products to it.
Method 1: From a Product's Detail Panel (Manage lists)
Click on any product in your Products page to open its detail panel
Click the "More options" button (three dots, bottom of the panel footer)
Click "Manage lists" in the dropdown menu
The Manage lists dialog opens
The Manage lists dialog shows:
Product summary at the top (image, SKU, name, condition, price, cost)
Current lists (N) - Lists this product is already in. Each row shows the list name, an editable Markup % field, an editable Price field, and an X button to remove
Available lists (N) - Lists this product is not in yet. Each row shows the list name and an "+ Add" button
Click "+ Add" next to any list to add the product to it. You can edit the Markup % or Price directly in the row. Click "Save" when done.
Method 2: Bulk Add from All Items View
Switch to "All items" view using the list selector dropdown
Select multiple products using the checkboxes (hover over a product row to reveal the checkbox)
The selection toolbar appears at the top - click "Add to list"
Choose your target list from the dropdown
Confirm to add all selected products
Editing a List
To rename a list or change its visibility:
Open the list selector dropdown
Click the pencil icon next to the list you want to edit
The "Edit list" dialog opens
The Edit list dialog is identical to Create list, but pre-fills the current name and visibility. It also includes a "Delete list" button (red, bottom left). Click "Save" to apply changes.
Sharing Your List with Buyers
Method 1: Share Button (Send to specific buyers)
Make sure your list is selected in the list dropdown
Select one or more products (or select all)
Click the "Share" button in the top right of the Products page
The invite modal opens - search for buyers or contacts in your directory
Buyers receive an email invitation with access to your list
Method 2: Copy Invitation Link
Open the list selector dropdown
Find your list in the dropdown
Click the link icon next to the list name
The invitation link is copied to your clipboard
Share the link via email, chat, or any communication channel
Recipients can access the list by clicking the link and signing in
Method 3: Change Visibility to "All Buyers"
If you want everyone to see a list without individual invitations:
Open the list selector dropdown
Click the pencil (edit) icon next to the list
In the Edit list dialog, select "All buyers"
Click "Save"
The list immediately becomes visible to all buyers with access to your store.
Customizing Pricing Per List
Each product can have different prices in each list. In the Manage lists dialog, you can set:
Markup % - The percentage markup over your cost (calculated from your item's cost price)
Price - The exact selling price for this list
Changing the Markup % automatically recalculates the Price, and vice versa.
What changes over time
Price updates - When you change a product's price in a list, buyers see the new price immediately.
Inventory updates - Stock level changes propagate instantly to all shared lists containing that product.
Product removal - If you remove a product from a list, buyers no longer see it in that list.
Product additions - When you add a product to a shared list, buyers see it immediately.
Visibility changes - Changing from "Selected buyers" to "All buyers" (or back) takes effect immediately.
Managing Your Lists
Viewing List Contents
To see which products are in a list:
Click the list name in the list selector dropdown
The Products page filters to show only items in that list
Product count is shown in the dropdown next to the list name (total + active green dot count)
Deleting a List
To remove a list:
Open the list selector dropdown
Click the pencil (edit) icon next to the list
In the Edit list dialog, click "Delete list" (red button at bottom left)
Confirm the deletion
What happens when you delete a list:
The list and all its custom pricing settings are permanently removed
Products themselves are NOT deleted - they remain in your catalog
Buyers who had access lose access to that specific list
Note: The "Delete list" button is disabled if the list has active orders, or if you do not have permission to delete it.
Common Issues
Issue: Buyers Can't See My List
Symptom: You shared a list but buyers report they can't see it
Possible causes:
The list visibility is set to "Selected buyers" but you haven't shared it with them
The list is empty (has no products)
Buyers haven't accepted the invitation yet
Solution:
Verify the list has products: Check the product count in the dropdown (should show more than 0)
Confirm sharing: Use the Share button and verify the buyer appears in the shared list
Resend invitation: Copy the invitation link from the dropdown and send it again
Check visibility: Switch to "All buyers" if appropriate
Issue: Product Appears in Wrong List
Symptom: A product shows up in a list where you didn't intend it to be
Solution:
Open the product detail panel and click More options β Manage lists
Check the "Current lists" section
Click the X button next to any list where the product shouldn't appear
Save the changes
Issue: Can't Delete a List
Symptom: The "Delete list" button is greyed out
Possible causes:
The list has active orders associated with it
You don't have admin permissions
Solution:
Lists with active orders cannot be deleted until those orders are resolved
Ask your account admin for permission if needed
